This is just a message to say to everyone who knows me, that my email account was hacked yesterday, so if you recieve ANY emails from me that look suspicious, then please ignore them and delete them straight away. I'm sorry and apologise to everyone on my email list as this was my fault for having a low security password which has now been tightened. Be warned if it happened to me it can happen to you!.
Don't worry Mandy, I get them all the time. It's easy to spot when it's friends because they stand out a mile as being dodgy.

ReplyDeleteOne thing that puzzles me in all this was that Yahoo spotted a login from a Greek ISP, let them "spread the word" and then locked the account down. Why didn't they lock it down anyway before any damage could be done?
Things like this are unfortunate and no matter how "tight" your passwords are, it could still happen to anyone. Therefore it needs vigilance on everyone's part which means always being wary of attachments or suspicious links that are sent to you.
